Terms and Conditions for Day Care
At Casa Canine our biggest priority is the welfare of your dog(s) and to build and maintain a good customer relationship. We will endeavour to give you and your dog the best service we can. Although every care is taken of dogs partaking in fun/fitness swim sessions, and also in maintenance of the water and equipment used, all dogs receive their care/swims entirely at their owner’s risk. We welcome feedback; positive or constructive, from all our customers. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you do not agree with any of the following terms and conditions (which apply, as appropriate, to all services we provide). We want you to feel welcome at Casa Canine and join in our fun activities and celebrations.
All dogs coming to Casa Canine day care must undergo a ‘meet and greet’ session prior to their stay; in order for us to assess their energy levels, social behaviour and ensure you are happy with our service. All dogs must be fully vaccinated to include parvovirus, leptospirosis, hepatitis, distemper and kennel cough. We recommend a routine tapeworm de-worming with a veterinary licensed product every three months and we strongly advise a veterinary licensed monthly lungworm treatment which also covers flea & ticks. All dogs must be microchipped and owners are responsible for making sure their dogs wear tags with a contact name and telephone number attached as this is required by law.
Irrespective of the services to be provided, we require all our customers to fill out a contract form which will be kept on file for repeat services. Therefore, please advise us of any relevant changes to your circumstances in writing or email, it is important that the information you provide is correct and complete. By completing a contract form you will be expressly confirming your agreement to these terms and conditions and that we may rely on the information provided in it. It is your responsibility to update your contact details with us. We will not share your details with other organisations.
Casa Canine provides a safe and secure environment for all our dogs as far as is reasonably possible. However, please be aware that by the very nature of the services we provide there are certain risks involved when dogs interact with other dogs. Please tell us in the contract form if your dog is of an especially sensitive or reactive nature and advise us if your dog has had any issues with food or toy possession, running off, constant barking, problems with house training or any other issues you deem appropriate. This is extremely important in helping us to assess the level of care that your dog needs as we wish to provide the best care possible for your pet. Please note it is the responsibility of the owner to make sure the collar provided with their dog is secure and tight enough so the dog cannot slip out of it. For dogs and puppies that need feeding during the day, owners must provide food with full instructions.
Failure on the part of you/the owner to disclose any matter which might render your dog unsuitable for day care or swimming activities will be deemed a fundamental breach of our agreement. We may refuse to provide services in respect of any dog and reserve the right to withdraw services from any customer or dog at any time, due to unsuitability for day care or swimming activities deemed by Casa Canine.
In case of an emergency or your pet becomes ill, you agree we are authorised to seek veterinary care, where practicable, at your own vet or the closest vet available if needs be. We will endeavour to contact you immediately in the event of an accident. In any event, you agree to accept full responsibility for the cost of all veterinary care and to settle fees directly with the veterinarian involved. All costs, fees and expenses incurred as a result of accidents will be the responsibility of, and will be covered by, the owner and in any such case you agree to indemnify us on demand, against any costs we may incur for the benefit of securing treatment in an emergency.
In the event a dog is left with us after 6pm we will endeavour to contact you using all contact details provided. We do ask for an alternative contact for this purpose in case you are unable to collect or receive delivery of your dog at the time arranged. If we are not contacted and we are unable to contact you, from 6:15pm a late fee of £2 per 15 minutes will be applicable. Casa Canine will care for your dog as you’d expect, and whilst we make every effort to ensure your pet is safe and well looked after, Casa Canine cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death to a pet either inside or outside of our business premises whilst in our care. This Agreement (and any further rules, policies, or guidelines incorporated by reference) shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.
Our terms and conditions may be subject to change at any time.
Terms and Conditions for Fun Swims
Casa Canine requires information regarding your dog’s vaccination records. Consent from your veterinary practitioner will be required for any swim sessions. Dogs will not be allowed to swim with us without an up-to-date vaccination record.
If an appointment is missed, or cancelled without 24 hours’ notice, session fees will be charged in full. Late arrival for a swim session may mean your dog may not be able to partake in a full session but a full charge will still be applied. Casa Canine reserves the right to ban customers who repeatedly cancel sessions.
It is advisable not to feed your dog for at least 3 hours prior to attending a fun swim appointment. It is also advisable not to feed your dog for approximately 1 hour after swimming. Fun swims will only be allowed to dogs who present no injuries, illnesses or health complaints, and who are not currently taking anti-inflammatory medication. Rehabilitation swims are available on request subject to formal referral from your veterinary practitioner.
If your dog has an infectious disease they will not be able to swim. Please inform Casa Canine of any contagious conditions such as ear; eye or skin infections, gastric upset, kennel cough or any other infectious diseases. Bitches in season will not be able to attend sessions until their season has ended. Before commencing a fun swim, your dog will have a rinse in preparation. Casa Canine reserves the right to refuse to swim any dog with an excessively unclean coat. Alternatively we may offer a mini groom prior to entering the pool at additional expense.
Accidents (defecation) in the pool will incur a surcharge of £25, so please ensure your dog has gone to the toilet prior to an appointment. Please pick up after your dog whilst on the premises and its surrounding environment. We will usually have poo bags available and waste bins are provided.
Dogs may meet as a session ends or begins, it is the responsibility of you as the owner to keep your dog under control and must be kept on a lead at all times in the reception area. In the interest of health and safety, owners are advised to wear sensible non-slip shoes. We have tried to ensure the accessible areas throughout the premises are as safe as possible for our customers but areas can become wet during swim sessions resulting in an increased risk of slipping and injury. Areas restricted for members of staff only are clearly marked around the premises, failure to comply with restrictions could result in being asked to leave the premises immediately at the full cost of your booking.
If you would like to swim with your dog it is entirely at your own risk and Casa Canine cannot be held responsible for any loss or injury to any person or animal caused whilst on the premises. Owners must bring their own suitable full length wet suit and gripped wet suit boots (2-3mm thickness minimum), as your dog may scratch whilst swimming and this will offer you protection but we are not liable for any injury or loss sustained. Casa Canine will go through a risk assessment with you prior to any swim with your dog and at this point assess the suitability of your wet suit and boots.
Casa Canine cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to motor vehicles or personal property however caused, whilst on our premises. 24 hour CCTV will be in operation and available upon appropriate request. Equally any damage caused to our premises by any means will be investigated and any subsequent costs will be levied to the individual responsible.
We want you and your pet to have fun with us and share your photos/videos on social media. Casa Canine reserves the right to use any video footage or still photography taken during day care sessions or fun swims.
Children are welcome at Casa Canine, please keep them under close supervision as some dogs maybe overly friendly and pose health and safety risks for young people, for which Casa Canine aren’t responsible for injury, loss or the care for young people whilst on our premises.
